How Important Is Breakfast?

Breakfast Is The Most Important Meal

The presentation is due in two hours. Or you’re in a meeting. Or you’re making sales calls. Suddenly, boom! Around 10:30 a.m. you hit a wall.

Hmmm…what did you eat for breakfast?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s called Break-Fast b/c it is the first meal you have after breaking your morning fast. It’s the meal designed to set you up for the rest of the day.

…so what are you eating?

A cup of coffee with creamer and sugar?
A cup of sugary yogurt?
A muffin eaten at your desk?

Your body deserves so much better than that. And so do you!

When you eat a good breakfast made of healthy fat, fiber and plant-based protein your day goes smoothly. No growling stomachs, low blood sugar shakiness, or wandering attention to keep you from nailing those big goals you’ve made for yourself.

What Breakfast is Right for You?

One of the best ways to find which foods work best for YOU is something I like to call the Breakfast Experiment. For one week, eat a different breakfast each day. Record in a notebook what you ate, how you felt, and how you felt again two hours later.

Feel free to repeat the experiment for another five days with different plant-based options. Which breakfasts made you feel energized? Which ones didn’t? After the experiment, try adding in more of the foods that made you feel great!

Tu cuerpo merece mucho mas que eso. ¡Y tu tambien!

Cuando comes un buen desayuno hecho con grasa saludables, fibra y proteína vegetal, tu día transcurre sin problemas. Sin estómagos gruñidos, temblores bajos de azúcar en la sangre o atención distraída para evitar que logres esos grandes objetivos que te has marcado.

Podes repetir el experimento durante otros cinco días con diferentes opciones basadas en plantas. ¿Qué desayunos te hicieron sentir con energía? ¿Cuáles no? Después del experimento, ¡intenta agregar más alimentos que te hicieron sentir bien!
