3 Homemade Salad Dressings to Try at Home

Homemade salad dressings are easy to make at home. It’s also cost effective but more importantly it allows you to control the quality of the ingredients that go into the salad dressing unlike store bought options which can be loaded with industry oils, added color and sugar plus other additives that can be harmful to your health.  

My favorite part of making homemade salad dressings is that you can customize it to your liking and once you nail down your favorite combination (or combinations), you always will have the recipe in your pocket. 

To help you get started here are 3 Homemade Salad Dressings you can try making at home!

Cilantro Dressing 

Ingredients

1 bunch of cilantro

2 garlic cloves

1 cup olive oil

Instructions: Place all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. 

Spring Vinaigrette 

Ingredients 

Juice of half a lemon

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp oregano

3 tbsp olive oil

Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions: Mix all ingredients in a bowl except and whisk to combine. 

Fresh Basil and Lemon Dressing 

¼ cup fresh basil 

1 small garlic clove

1 tbsp lemon juice, plus ½ teaspoon zest

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp olive oil, more if needed

Salt to taste 

Instructions: Place all ingredients in a blender and blend to combine.

 Los aderezos caseros son fáciles de hacer y son economicos pero, lo que es más importante, es que te permite controlar la calidad de ingredientes que se incluyen en el aderezo. A diferencia de las opciones compradas en la tienda, que pueden tener aceites no saludables, colorantes y azúcares, además de otros aditivos que pueden ser perjudiciales para tu salud.

Mi parte favorita de hacer aderezos para caseros es que puedes personalizarlos a tu gusto y una vez que hayas definido tu combinación (o combinaciones) favorita, siempre tendrás la receta en tu bolsillo.

Para ayudarte a comenzar, aquí les dejo 3 aderezos caseros que puedes intentar hacer en casa.

Aderezo de Cilantro

Ingredientes

1 manojo de cilantro

2 dientes de ajo

1 taza de aceite de oliva

Instrucciones: Coloque todos los ingredientes en una licuadora y mezcle hasta que queden suave y cremoso. 

Vinagreta de primavera

Jugo de medio limón

1 cucharada de vinagre de sidra de manzana

1 cucharadita de mostaza

1 cucharadita de orégano

3 cucharadas de aceite de oliva

sal y pimienta al gusto

Instrucciones: Mezclar todos los ingredientes en un tazón y batir para combinar.

Aderezo de albahaca fresca y limón

¼ taza de albahaca fresca

1 diente de ajo pequeño

1 cucharada de jugo de limón, más ½ cucharadita de ralladura

1 cucharada de vinagre de sidra de manzana

2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva, más si es necesario

Sal al gusto

Instrucciones: Coloque todos los ingredientes en una licuadora y mezcle hasta que quede suave y cremoso.
